Dr. Emily Lemming offers some excellent insights into the gut-brain connection. She also published a book called Genuis Gut. As the gut is the seat of immunity, how we treat our microbiome will have a real impact on our health.
I know Sharon through the Women Fiction Writer's Association (WFWA) and her posts are always so interesting and well done. Check out her book, The Pelican Tide, featuring a lovable (you guessed it) pelican named Gumbo and a small Louisiana island recovering from an oil spill. Sharon's substack was the first I ever followed!
Jenn does a great job of offering low-cost, healthy meal plans with a shopping list and recipes. With the rising cost of food, she helps make it possible for people to eat well on a budget.
The Alzheimer's Association estimates 6.9 million Americans age 65+ are living with Alzheimers. They project that number to almost double by 2050. Annie Fenn writes about the latest science on how to take care of your brain, and her book The Brain Health Kitchen is amazing. I've already dazzled dinner party guests with some of her recipes!
